Three oval bowls carved by East African artisans from wild olive wood, each rimmed with batik bone inlay set by hand. They nest inside one another for storage and separate for serving — fruit in the largest, nuts and olives in the two smaller.
Because each bowl is cut and finished by hand, the shape, the grain and the inlay pattern are different on every set. They ship from the artisans' workshop in East Africa, which is why they take longer to reach you than the rest of our catalog.
Sizes: small 5.25 × 3 × 1 in, medium 7 × 3.5 × 2 in, large 10 × 4.5 × 3 in. Hand wash and dry them straight away; never soak them or put them in the dishwasher. Rub in a little food-safe mineral oil every few months to keep the grain rich.
Food and props shown in the photos are not included.
